The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) will perform construction work on SR-101 in Hyrum starting Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026, according to a report published August 27. The project, located between 400 West and 600 West, involves placing asphalt and performing shoulder work to improve road durability and ride quality.
Construction is scheduled to begin at approximately 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026, and is expected to conclude by 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2026. During this period, SR-101 will be restricted to one lane, which will be controlled by flaggers. Officials noted that schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions.
Drivers are advised to slow down and observe all traffic signs, cones, workers, and equipment within the work zones for the safety of themselves, other drivers, and workers. For questions or concerns, the public can contact UDOT at 801-620-1600.
Hyrum City also announced a public hearing scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 10, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at 60 West Main. The hearing will address public comment regarding a rezone at 300 North 400 East and proposed amendments to Title 16 and Title 17 of the Hyrum City Municipal Code.
