Aaron William Flater

Aaron W. Flater was appointed to Utah’s Third District Juvenile Court in October 2022 by Governor Spencer Cox and serves Salt Lake, Summit, and Tooele counties. He holds an A.S. in political science from Ricks College, a B.S. in sociology with a criminal justice minor from Utah State University, and a law degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law. Before taking the bench, he worked as an associate at Henriksen and Henriksen and as a prosecutor at the city, county, and federal levels, including as a Senior Assistant Salt Lake City Prosecutor, a Deputy Salt Lake County District Attorney, and an Assistant United States Attorney.
