Alex Goble is Associate Presiding Judge of the Utah Sixth District Juvenile Court, appointed in August 2022 by Governor Spencer J. Cox to a new position created in the 2022 legislative session; he serves Sanpete, Sevier, Piute, Wayne, Garfield, and Kane counties. Before joining the bench he practiced law from 2009, including as Deputy San Juan County Attorney and as an Assistant Utah Attorney General in child welfare and criminal fraud matters, and earlier as a Salt Lake City prosecutor and contracted city attorney for Monticello. He earned a bachelor’s degree magna cum laude in international business from Westminster College and a J.D. from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, and is on the 2026 ballot for nonpartisan judicial retention.
