Amy Jo Oliver

Amy Jo Oliver (also referred to as Amy J. Oliver) is a judge on the Utah Court of Appeals, appointed in January 2023 by Governor Spencer J. Cox and confirmed to fill a vacancy; she is on the November 3, 2026 retention ballot. She previously served as a Third Judicial District Court judge (appointed 2021), covering Salt Lake, Summit, and Tooele counties. She holds a bachelor’s degree summa cum laude from the University of Utah and a juris doctorate cum laude from Harvard Law School, and has worked in private practice, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Utah, and as Assistant Director of the SEC’s Salt Lake Regional Office.
