About
Annette McRae is a Duchesne City resident and Forward Party candidate running for Utah State Senate District 20 in the November 3, 2026 general election against incumbent Ronald Winterton (R). She is a third-generation public servant with roots in Moab and Heber City, an oilfield family background, and has lived in the Basin for 33 years; she is a wife, mother of five, and grandmother. McRae has a background in mosquito abatement and infrastructure advocacy and has been actively attending local government meetings on topics including the 2034 Olympics and water resources.

Water
Complete Basin water projects, align housing with real water modeling, protect senior agricultural rights, and prioritize water security as structural infrastructure.
Energy & Infrastructure
Expand Basin refining, capture gas instead of flaring, treat produced water as infrastructure, and emphasize well-to-wheel stability to keep value in the district.
Rail & Transportation
Support freight rail to reduce Basin highway risk and passenger rail to ease Wasatch Back canyon congestion; advocate rail using existing rights-of-way.
