Anthony L. Howell is a judge of the Utah Fourth Judicial District Court, appointed by Gov. Gary R. Herbert and serving Juab, Millard, Utah, and Wasatch counties. He graduated from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University in 2002 and previously worked at the Utah County Public Defender Association as a trial attorney from 2002 and as chief counsel from 2011 until his appointment. He appears on the 2026 Utah ballot in a nonpartisan retention election for that district court seat.
