Ashlee Matthews is a Democratic incumbent serving as the Utah State Representative for House District 37, which includes areas in Salt Lake County such as Kearns, West Jordan, and Taylorsville. She began her legislative service in January 2021 after being elected in 2020 and works in the construction department of the Utah Department of Transportation. She is a working mother raising two young sons with her husband, a union pipefitter, in the Oquirrh Shadows neighborhood.
