Daniel Cottam is a Libertarian Party candidate running for election to the U.S. House to represent Utah's 2nd Congressional District in the November 3, 2026 general election. He advanced from the Libertarian Party convention on April 18, 2026. He is a physician and bariatric surgeon who grew up in Houston, Texas, completed undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University, medical school at the University of Texas, residency at Nassau University Medical Center, and a fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh; he previously ran as the Libertarian candidate for Utah governor in 2020.
