Dave Robinson, also referred to as David Robinson, is a Republican who declared his candidacy for Utah's U.S. House District 1 in the 2026 election. He is a longtime Salt Lake City resident and policy advocate with about a decade of involvement in local politics, including running for Salt Lake County mayor in 2016 and serving as volunteer communications director for the Salt Lake County Republican Party in 2020. Robinson announced his run in early February 2026 for the newly redrawn district, which leans Democratic, and participated in the Republican convention process where he was ultimately defeated.
