Respondent and Observer Feedback: Both respondents and courtroom observers value Judge Rawson’s professional but personable approach in court, finding him to treat others with kindness and dignity. Both groups admire his preparedness and diligence. Both find that he communicates clearly. Survey results indicate that the judge should work on being more decisive, and a few comments say that he should focus on timely and efficient courtroom management. All four observers report confidence that they would be treated fairly if they were to appear in Judge Rawson’s court.

Judge E. Blaine Rawson was appointed to Utah's Second District Court by Governor Spencer J. Cox in September 2022. He serves Davis, Morgan and Weber counties. Judge Rawson also currently serves as the Supervising Water Law Judge. Judge Rawson received his Juris Doctor in 1995 from the University of Utah, graduating with honors. Judge Rawson spent 28 years in private practice in Utah at three different law firms. His practice involved complex civil litigation with a focused specialty in environmental and natural resources law. Judge Rawson has been active in both the legal and local community.
