Jill M. Pohlman
About
Jill M. Pohlman is Associate Chief Justice of the Utah Supreme Court. She was appointed in June 2022 by Governor Spencer J. Cox, unanimously confirmed by the Utah Senate on August 17, 2022, and assumed office the same day, succeeding Justice Thomas Rex Lee. A University of Utah and S.J. Quinney College of Law graduate, she previously served on the Utah Court of Appeals (appointed 2016 by Governor Gary Herbert), including as associate presiding judge, and earlier was a partner at Stoel Rives LLP after clerking for U.S. District Judge David K. Winder. She is standing for nonpartisan retention on November 3, 2026.
