John Arthur is a Democratic member of the Utah House of Representatives representing District 41, which includes areas such as Cottonwood Heights, Holladay, Midvale, and Murray in Salt Lake County. He was appointed in December 2025 to replace Gay Lynn Bennion and is the incumbent running for re-election in the 2026 general election. A former sixth-grade teacher at Meadowlark Elementary, he was named the 2021 Utah Teacher of the Year and a National Teacher of the Year finalist.
