Jorge Quinones is a Democratic candidate who filed to run for Utah House of Representatives District 17 in the 2026 election but withdrew from the race. He is an electrical engineer and transmission engineer at Rocky Mountain Power with over 15-20 years of experience in Utah, holding a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from California State University, Northridge and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. A first-generation college graduate and Puerto Rican immigrant who came to the U.S. as a child, he resides in the Farmington/Centerville area of Davis County and previously ran unsuccessfully for mayor of Farmington in 2025.
