Kara Toone is a Republican candidate for Utah House of Representatives District 14 in the 2026 election, running in the open seat primary following the departure of Rep. Karianne Lisonbee. A longtime Davis County resident who has lived in Clearfield since 2003, she serves as Executive Director of the Davis Education Foundation and has extensive experience in Republican Party leadership, including roles on the Utah Republican State Central Committee and as president of Davis County Republican Women. She holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Utah along with degrees from Weber State University and Snow College, and has been active in community service through organizations like the Davis Chamber of Commerce and local education and Rotary groups.

Housing Affordability Supports practical Utah-based solutions aligned with the Statewide Strategic Housing Plan to expand supply, reduce regulatory barriers, maintain local control, and prioritize starter homes; advocates putting less-important legislation on hold until affordability is addressed.
