Kraig Powell is a judge of the Utah Fourth Judicial District, appointed in December 2016 by Governor Gary Herbert. He serves Juab, Millard, Utah, and Wasatch counties and also acts as a statewide Water Law Judge; he previously practiced law in Wasatch and Summit counties, served as city attorney for Midway and Francis, and represented District 54 in the Utah House of Representatives from 2009 to 2016. He holds M.A., J.D., and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Virginia, has been the judge of the Veterans Treatment Court in Utah County since 2017, and served as Presiding Judge of the Fourth District Court during 2024 and 2025.
