Leah Tonga Hansen is a Republican serving as a member of the Utah House of Representatives from the 51st district. She was appointed to the seat in 2025 after winning a special election to replace Jefferson Moss, who resigned. Born in Hawaii to parents from Tonga and New Zealand, she lived in Tonga until age 12, then moved to Utah; she attended Weber State University, is a stay-at-home mom of Pacific Islander descent, and began attending legislative meetings around 2016.
