Mandy Larsen was appointed to the Sixth District Court by Governor Spencer J. Cox in February 2022 and took the oath of office in April 2022, serving Sevier, Sanpete, Wayne, Piute, Garfield, and Kane counties. She is the presiding judge and the first woman to serve on the Sixth District bench. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and criminal justice from Southern Utah University and a Juris Doctor from J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University; prior to her appointment she worked as a prosecutor in Sevier County since 2014, city attorney and prosecutor in Gunnison City, and maintained a private practice focused on criminal defense, family law, probate, and juvenile law with public defender contracts.
