Nelson T. Abbott is a Republican attorney and politician serving as a member of the Utah House of Representatives from District 57, which includes areas in Orem and Vineyard. Born January 30, 1966, in Escondido, California, and raised in Provo, Utah, he earned a BA in economics, an MBA, and a JD from Brigham Young University and was admitted to the Utah State Bar in 1994, after which he founded the Abbott Law Firm in Provo. He assumed office on January 1, 2021, after defeating incumbent Brad Daw at the Republican convention in 2020, and has represented the district since then, with records showing him as the incumbent Republican candidate for the 2026 election.
