Nicole McDermott
About
Nicole McDermott is a Republican candidate for Utah State Board of Education District 8 in the 2026 election. She is the current president of the Granite School District Board (Precinct IV), where she has served since 2019 after winning election in 2018. A longtime educator with over 25 years teaching music and orchestra in Jordan and Granite districts, she holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Utah and a master's from Teachers College, Columbia University.
