Rex P. Shipp is a Republican member of the Utah House of Representatives representing District 71, which includes Iron County. He was appointed to the legislature in 2019 and assumed office for District 71 on January 1, 2023, after previously representing District 72. Shipp is a graduate of Southern Utah University, married with seven children, and resides in Cedar City, Utah.
