Richard T. Whitney is a Democratic candidate who sought the nomination for Utah State Senate District 13 in the 2026 election. He is a 5th-generation Utahn, disabled United States Marine Corps veteran, and self-described MS warrior who has served as Chair of the Salt Lake County Democratic Disability Caucus and Vice Chair of the Salt Lake County Veterans Caucus. He was eliminated at the Democratic convention and did not advance to the primary ballot.
