Robert Wanlass, also known as Denny Wanlass, is a Republican political outsider and real estate professional from Layton, Utah. He was born and raised in the Salt Lake Valley, earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Utah and an MBA from Weber State University, previously owned and sold Red Dot Firearms in Layton, and has lived in the area since 1998 with his wife of 31 years and their four children, two of whom are on the autism spectrum. Wanlass ran in the 2026 Republican primary for Utah State Senate District 6 but was defeated by Tami Tran.
