Scott A. Hatfield Jr. is a Republican candidate who ran for the U.S. House to represent Utah's 4th Congressional District in the 2026 election. He lost at the Republican convention. He is a veteran who served in the U.S. Navy as a Hospital Corpsman, has worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Utah Department of Corrections, and the U.S. Senate, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Utah Valley University, a Master of Public Administration, and studied at Oxford University. He is the president and founder of the Utah Trail Association nonprofit, a precinct chair, and member of the Utah Republican Party State Central Committee; he previously ran for Utah's 2nd Congressional District in 2023 and Utah House District 49 in 2024.
