Scott D. Sandall is a Republican member of the Utah State Senate representing District 1, which covers Box Elder, Cache, and Tooele counties; he assumed office on January 1, 2023, after previously serving in the Utah House of Representatives from 2015 to 2018 and Senate District 17 from 2019 to 2023. A lifelong resident of Box Elder County and third-generation farmer and rancher who owns Sandall Ranches, he earned a BS in Agricultural Economics from Brigham Young University magna cum laude and lives in Tremonton with his wife Christie. He is a candidate for re-election in the 2026 general election for Utah State Senate District 1.

Tax cuts Supported $1.4 billion in tax cuts for Utah families and continues to seek ways to keep the tax burden low.

Water rights Worked to pass bills protecting water rights for farmers, businesses, and communities, and legislation supporting the Great Salt Lake while protecting existing rights.
