Susan Heather Eisenman

Susan Heather Eisenman is the presiding judge of Utah's Third District Juvenile Court, serving Salt Lake, Summit, and Tooele counties. Governor Gary R. Herbert appointed her to the court in July 2017; she has served as presiding judge since 2023 and as a member of the Utah Judicial Council since 2024. She earned a B.A. in English from the University of California-Berkeley in 1990 and a law degree from the University of Virginia in 1994, and previously worked as a parental defender, guardian ad litem, assistant attorney general in the Utah Attorney General's child protection division, and as division director of the State Agency Counsel Division.
