Tara Benally

Tara Benally is a community advocate with deep roots in the Navajo Nation, having grown up in San Juan County, Utah, with Hopi and Navajo heritage. She has served as Field Director for the Rural Utah Project since 2018, focusing on voter registration and engagement efforts across the Navajo Nation. Benally filed to run as a Democrat for Utah House of Representatives District 69 in the 2026 election but later withdrew from the primary.
