Tayler Khater
About
Tayler Khater is a husband, father, and longtime educator who has served Utah families for over a decade as a teacher and school leader, including at Skyline High School and as principal at Driggs Elementary in the Granite School District. He is a graduate of local schools Churchill and Skyline and has been active as a community advocate and member of the Granite Education Association. Khater ran as a Democratic candidate for Utah State Senate District 14 in the June 23, 2026 primary election, where he received approximately 22.4% of the vote against incumbent Stephanie Pitcher.

Cap class sizes, eliminate or reduce voucher funding that diverts money from public schools, secure fair teacher compensation, and protect public education from special interests.
Thriving Communities/Affordability
Support affordable housing and first-time homebuyer programs, expand affordable childcare access, eliminate income tax on Social Security benefits, increase funding for home health care for seniors, and invest in community support programs and small businesses.

Prioritize transparency, accountability, and service to constituents over special interests; oppose corruption and self-dealing.
Science-Based Stewardship
Use evidence-based approaches to protect the Great Salt Lake, improve air quality on the Wasatch Front, promote water conservation, preserve natural resources, and counter misinformation on public health issues like vaccines and fluoride.
