(Kanab, UT) — Southern Utah is getting more popular with tourists and now it's seeing a sharp rise in rescue operations. Kane County Sheriff Tracy Glover tells KUTV that his office is seeing a lot of rescues that deal with canyoneering, swift water rescues and high-angle rescues.

Uintah County Sheriff Steve Labrum has been elected president of the Utah Sheriffs Association for the 2026–2027 term. Labrum succeeds Kane County Sheriff Tracy Glover and will lead the association's executive team.
