Where they stand
Housing
Says Utah lacks 30,000 needed housing units and that home prices have risen faster than incomes; supports repairing older units, setting aside about 10 percent of multifamily housing for low-income families, zoning for multifamily homes and accessory units, lower move-in costs, fewer fees, and short-term emergency rent or mortgage aid.
Water
Supports Great Salt Lake and river-basin protection through conserved-water rights, input from all stakeholders including Native American nations, more efficient farm and household use, drip irrigation and water-saving landscaping, and pilot crops such as kernza.
Schools and seniors
Wants more resources and safety in public schools, including help from local law enforcement, and supports abolishing Utah's state tax on Social Security.
Growth and infrastructure
Opposes new large data centers; supports an east-west rail line from the Uinta Basin to Tooele Valley with local and tribal consent and the 2034 Olympic timeline, safer highways, and judicial independence.
Governance
Says he answers to constituents rather than party bosses and supports transparency, accountability, election reform, and redistricting without gerrymandering. He said he would vote for Constitutional Amendment A and against Constitutional Amendment B.
