All roads in the Monticello Ranger District of the Manti-La Sal National Forest that were closed due to the fire have reopened. The Manti-La Sal National Forest announced that the Babylon Fire is 100% contained and the special closure order for the Babylon Burn Area has been rescinded.
A trailblazing athlete will be inducted into the Uintah High School Athletics Hall of Fame during a ceremony before the Uintah homecoming football game on September 11th at Coach Belcher Stadium. We are seeing an increasing number of students riding electric bicycles and high-powered electric motorcycles to school, including vehicles such as Sur-Ron, Talaria, and similar electric motorcycles.

Students at Provo Peaks Elementary were welcomed into a sea of excitement during a Moana-themed school assembly designed to build school spirit and introduce what it means to be a PUMA.
Wearing leis, students made their way down a red carpet as teachers and staff greeted them with high fives. The school went all-in on the theme, with staff dressed as characters from Moana, tropical decorations throughout the assembly, and Principal Ryan McCarty joining the fun dressed as Maui.

Matthew Johnson, a Utah national guardsman, was last seen on Sept. 20, 2024. And nearly two years later, his body has still not been found. A search warrant filed in February was unsealed on Aug. 6, revealing that investigators sought Oura Ring data for its GPS tracking capabilities.
