CLEARFIELD, Utah (ABC4) — Davon Hakeem Hinton was arrested Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026, after allegedly shooting a woman in Murray and leading police on a roof standoff in Clearfield. Hinton faces charges of attempted murder, prohibited dangerous weapon conduct, improper discharge of a dangerous weapon, witness tampering and interfering with a peace officer, according to documents.
MURRAY, Utah, Oct. 4, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — A 30-year-old man accused of shooting a woman in Murray was booked into the Salt Lake County jail after a fleeing to Clearfield where was arrested after a prolonged rooftop standoff.
Clearfield police lifted a shelter-in-place order on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026, after officers apprehended a suspect linked to an aggravated assault in Murray. The order, issued out of an abundance of caution, was lifted about 40 minutes after the individual was taken into custody.
A call about an aggravated assault in Murray led to one person being taken to a hospital and a shelter-in-place order in Clearfield hours later. The suspect was taken into custody just before noon Sunday.
