The St. George City Council convened public hearings in June and April of 2026 to deliberate on several ordinances aimed at vacating various easements, including utility and drainage corridors within the St. George Industrial Park and the Twin Creeks at Stone Bridge development.
Industrial Park Easement Review
During a public hearing held on June 18, 2026, city officials considered the vacation of multiple easements located within the St. George Industrial Park. According to a notice issued by the City of St. George, the council reviewed an ordinance to vacate all easements shown on Lots 3 and 4, as well as the former Sac Street.
The proposed ordinance specifically excluded the Pole Line Easement that runs east and west across the middle of Lot 3. This property is located at 1303 E 700 N in St. George. The city's records for this action referenced Document No. 562501 from the Washington County Recorder.
Bloomington Country Club Changes
The June 18 hearing also addressed property matters within the Bloomington Country::Club No. 6 Subdivision. The City of St. George announced that the council was tasked with considering an ordinance to vacate a utilities easement and a drainage easement.
These specific easements are located along the rear lot line of Lot 76. This action was documented under Document No. 136799 in the Washington County Recorder's office.
Twin Creeks Development Adjustments
In an earlier session held on April 2, 2026, the St. George City Council addressed easement modifications within the Twin Creeks at Stone Bridge Phase 2 Amended and Extended development. The council met to consider an ordinance to vacate a portion of a 7.50-foot-wide public utility and drainage easement.
Additionally, the April hearing involved the consideration of vacating a 10-foot-wide ingress/egress easement intended for maintenance purposes. These easements are situated along Lots 78 and 79 of the development, as described in Document No. 20070002759.
Public Comment Procedures
For both the June and April proceedings, the City of St. George provided formal channels for public participation. During the June 18 hearing, the city directed interested persons to submit written comments via email to the City Recorder at recorder@sgcityutah.org or by mail to City Hall at 61 South Main Street. Residents also had the option to present their views in person during the scheduled meeting.
Similarly, for the April 2 hearing, the city provided contact information for Deputy City Recorder Brenda Hatch, noting that comments could be sent to christina.fernandez@sgcityutah.gov or mailed to the same City Hall address.
Accessibility and Accommodations
The City of St. George emphasized its commitment to accessibility during these legislative processes. In both the June and April notices, the city stated it would make efforts to provide reasonable accommodations for disabled members of the public to ensure access to city programs.
