The BYU Library will open their new exhibit, How Firm a Foundation: The Salt Lake Temple Renovation 2019-2026, with a special item. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is loaning the library the original trumpet that was held by the Moroni statue on the temple's spire.
Exhibit Highlights
Visitors can touch stone core samples from the Salt Lake Temple remodel along with original nails. They can also learn about architecture by testing their own buildings on a vibration table.
Display Duration
The exhibit will run through winter semester, but the trumpet will only be on display from January 7th through January 30th
Location Information
The exhibit will be on level 3, the main floor of the library.
Upcoming Presentation
Later in the month, Thursday January 29, Georges Bonnet – general manager of the Salt Lake Temple & Temple Square Renovation Project will be speaking in the JSB Auditorium at 11am (Please note the venue has changed).
