The West Jordan Chamber of Commerce has introduced the Marketing Journey, a new initiative designed to help local businesses improve visibility and create better connections through smarter marketing. According to an October 14 statement, the program was developed in response to feedback from local business owners during a Chamber Round Table regarding the need for increased visibility.
The initiative includes several upcoming workshops and collaborations aimed at addressing specific marketing fundamentals. On Wednesday, Nov. 4, event organizers Myhriah Young, April Hiatt, and Jeana Nunez will host a session titled So You Want to Teach at the Chamber? This workshop will explore how members can create valuable educational experiences rather than disguised sales pitches. Additionally, Annette Pieper will lead a hands-on Perfect Your Pitch workshop on Friday, Nov. 20, to help business owners explain their services more effectively for referrals.
A new collaboration called West Jordan Creators is also being developed between the West Jordan Chamber and Gage from Local West Jordan. This program focuses on organic reach and collaboration, encouraging a Try, Buy, Share model to help businesses reach people through authentic conversations and community relationships rather than solely through paid advertising.
The Marketing Journey was created after the Chamber observed that some local businesses were missing marketing fundamentals while others were spending excessive time and energy on unnecessary activities. The program is intended to be an ongoing series of resources that businesses can choose from based on their individual needs rather than a mandatory list of tasks.
Business owners can schedule a conversation with Myhriah Young, President of the West Jordan Chamber of Commerce, to discuss which marketing opportunities make the most sense for their specific goals. The Chamber also provides an event calendar and a dedicated web page to explore upcoming workshops.
