In baseball bracket play at Lindquist Field, the No. 4 Manti Templars defeated No. 9 Providence Hall 4-2. Carter Keisel drove in two runs for the Templars, while Kellen Lund earned the win with two strikeouts over 6.1 innings. Blake Curtis contributed a run in the loss for the Patriots.
In another Lindquist Field matchup, the No. 14 Logan Grizzlies secured a 3-2 victory over No. 10 Emery. Marcus Shopbell provided three RBIs to help the Grizzlies edge out the win.
Softball bracket play at the Spanish Fork Softball Complex featured several decisive victories. The No. 3 Union Cougars shut out No. 6 Richfield 10-0, led by two RBIs each from Haylee Moynier and Payzlei Parrish. Moynier also recorded nine strikeouts in 4.2 innings to earn the win. The Cougars are scheduled to face No. 2 North Sanpete next.
North Sanpete Hawks defeated No. 7 Manti 10-4, highlighted by a home run from Autumn Oldroyd and five strikeouts from Kaecee Johnson. Dakoda Cheney hit a home run for the Templars in the loss.
The No. 1 Grantsville Cowboys beat No. 9 Emery 7-4. Payten Bythe CRF and SaDee Castagno each drove in two runs, while Bryn Anderson earned the win with two strikeouts in five innings. The Cowboys will next face No. 4 Logan.
In the Grizzlies' rotation, the No. 4 Logan Grizzlies defeated No. 5 Canyon View 8-1. Miley Allen hit two home runs, and Cambree Cooper recorded 13 strikeouts in seven innings of work.
In the one-loss bracket at the Spanish Fork Softball Complex, several high-scoring games took place.
The No. 6 Richfield Wildcats defeated No. 12 Juab 9-5 behind four RBIs from Emma Wayman and three strikeouts from Kolli Viers. The loss ended Juab's season.
The No. 7 Manti Templars won a high-scoring contest against No. 8 Morgan, finishing 13-11. Savannah Ramone and Dakoda Cheney each drove in three runs, while Danie Alder earned the win with one strikeout.
The No. 5 Canyon View Falcons beat No. 11 Ogden 13-5. Maisy Brady recorded five strikeouts in seven innings for the win, while Sadie Sams and Sadie Shumway each contributed two RBIs. The loss ended Ogden's season.
Finally, the No. 9 Emery Spartans defeated No. 10 Carbon 18-11. Hadley Grimm hit a home run, and Allison Jeffs earned the win with two strikeouts in 3.1 innings of work.
