Police agencies are searching for a hit-and-run driver who fled on foot following a crash in West Valley City. The incident occurred just before midnight Wednesday near 3500 South and Bangerter Highway.
A vehicle reportedly struck a building and a pedestrian during the incident. Following the collision, the driver fled the scene on foot.
Multiple police agencies participated in tracking the suspect overnight. The search effort included several officers and at least one K-9 unit.
A house fire in West Valley City involved an explosion and a power pole. While initial reports suggested smoke inhalation, all occupants evacuated safely and no injuries were reported.
