Three new statues have been installed at Temple Square as the renovation of the Salt Lake Temple enters its final stages.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints stated that the sculptures depict moments from the life and ministry of Jesus Christ, including the Woman at the Well, Mary at the Tomb, and the ordination of the Apostles.
Two additional statues are expected to be added in the coming weeks. These upcoming installations will bring the total number of new sculptures at Temple Square to 12.
Church leaders said the artwork is intended to be part of a renewed visitor experience ahead of the reopening of the temple.
The installation of these sculptures occurs in Salt Lake City as the temple renovation project moves toward its final stages.
