The Westridge Kindergarten Meet & Greet Open House saw a high turnout of more than 50 families as they prepared for the upcoming 2026–2027 school year. The event welcomed new Wildcats to the community with an energetic atmosphere and over 200 donuts served.
Through the efforts of Mrs. Hawkins, more than 50 students were provided with a Westridge bag containing a free book, alphabet flashcards, a notebook, a pencil, and reading and math activities for home use.
During the open house, families had the chance to interact with school administration, secretaries, the PTO, the health clerk, and the social worker. The event provided essential information regarding school lunch programs, immunizations, and registration processes.
Attendees were also able to sign up for library cards and access various community resources, including support from Family Haven.
A significant part of the event allowed future kindergarteners to meet the school's three kindergarten teachers. Westridge staff expressed gratitude to the families, staff, and community partners who contributed to the success of the event ahead of the fall semester.
