Avalanche danger exists as soon as there’s snow on the ground. The snow is just a few feet deep at high elevations and already several human- and natural- caused avalanches have been reported across the Wasatch Range. The Utah Avalanche Center started sending out its morning avalanche forecasts this weekend to keep people safe as they start searching for snow.
