Kaysville GIVES holiday donation program
The city is preparing for several seasonal programs and community events. The Kaysville GIVES initiative, now in its ninth year, aims to support over 550 children from local schools. The program seeks to raise $30,000 through donations and sponsorships, with the official website launching the first week of November.
Upcoming toy drive event details
A related event, Fill the Fire Truck, is scheduled for December 6 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Barnes Park. Attendees can bring new, unwrapped toys or cash donations to assist local families in need.
Winter parking and recycling updates
Regarding city operations, winter parking restrictions will be in effect from November 1 through March 1. During this time, vehicles are prohibited from parking on city streets between 12:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. to allow snowplow crews to operate efficiently. Additionally, green waste recycling will pause on November 30, with regular service resuming on April 1.
Ongoing road construction project progress
Infrastructure updates indicate that while much road construction was completed this summer, work on the 200 North project between Main Street and Fruit Heights will continue. Crews are focusing on underground piping replacements and new curb and sidewalk installations, with completion anticipated in December 2026.
Upcoming holiday office closures
The city also reminded residents of upcoming observances, including Veterans Day and the Thanksgiving holiday, noting that city offices will be closed on November 11 and November 27-28.
