The Morgan County Fire Department serves 12,000 residents across a 611 square mile area. The department provides fire suppression, technical rescue, and emergency medical services to the community.
Department fleet and equipment
Operating from a centrally located station, the department utilizes a fleet that includes two engines, a ladder truck, two ambulances, two brush trucks, two water tenders, and other specialized units.
Service area and terrain types
The response district encompasses diverse terrain including mountain ranges exceeding 9,000 feet, the Weber River, two state park reservoirs, and wildland-urban interface areas. The area also contains industrial and manufacturing zones, farmland, historic buildings, multi-million-dollar estates, and vital highway infrastructure.
Staffing and annual call volume
With an annual call volume that exceeds 700, the department is primarily staffed by dedicated volunteers and supported by weekday part-time Firefighter/EMTs.
Mutual aid and community partners
The Morgan County Fire Department provides mutual aid to Weber, Summit, and Salt Lake Counties. The department works alongside partners such as the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, Utah Highway Patrol, Mountain Green Fire District, Weber 911, and multiple air medical providers.
