BLM Approves Waterline Amendment, Herbicide Treatments | Basin Now
The Bureau of Land Management Vernal Field Office has made several approvals on projects in Uintah County. 2 mile to reach an alternate take out point on the White River. The Pelican Reservoir Eurasian Milfoil Treatment project was approved, authorizing the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources to conduct herbicide treatments in Pelican Reservoir over a three-year period.

Green River baseball welcomes Buffalo to the diamond
The Pirate baseball squad was on the diamond at home Friday, welcoming the Valley Buffalo. Green River had no answers for the Buffalo defense as they collected just one hit and fell in four innings, 17-0. The Pirates have battled through some tough competition this season and are sitting at 1-11 overall and 0-7 in Region 19 play.

Black Canyon Fire reaches 90% containment, but monsoonal weather creates challenging travel conditions for fire crews
Fire crews continue to work tirelessly to combat the Black Canyon Fire, which, at the time of writing, is 3,264 acres in size, but significant progress has been made, with the blaze at 90% contained. Currently, a total of 53 personnel are dedicated to the fire, with seven engines currently working the blaze.
