The Bureau of Land Management Vernal Field Office has made several approvals on projects in Uintah County. 2 mile to reach an alternate take out point on the White River. The Pelican Reservoir Eurasian Milfoil Treatment project was approved, authorizing the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources to conduct herbicide treatments in Pelican Reservoir over a three-year period.

Black Canyon Fire reaches 90% containment, but monsoonal weather creates challenging travel conditions for fire crews
Fire crews continue to work tirelessly to combat the Black Canyon Fire, which, at the time of writing, is 3,264 acres in size, but significant progress has been made, with the blaze at 90% contained.
