Superintendent Rob Smith issued a message to the Alpine School District team on November 26, 2025, expressing sincere gratitude to every member of the district before the Thanksgiving break. As the season transitioned from fall to winter, Smith highlighted various things for which there was cause for thanks, including family and freedom in America.
In his message, Smith discussed how gratitude can alter perspectives on the world and how individuals interact with one another. He noted that sharing gratitude strengthens connections and fosters a mindset of abundance.
Smith stated that intentionally cultivating an abundant disposition helps enable good habits and enhances appreciation for beautiful things, even during challenging times.
The Superintendent thanked staff members for seeing the good in students, making extra efforts to connect with students, and supporting struggling colleagues. He encouraged the team to use the break to rest, relax, and recharge.
