SALT LAKE CITY – It’s hard to imagine right now, but there are only two months until Utah high school football returns.
Preparing for the upcoming season
While this time of year, with school out, might be viewed as a chance to kick back and relax, local prep stars continue to compete to improve their skills for the upcoming season and to get out there and earn opportunities after their prep careers.
Utah high school football players compete in skills camp at Highland High
Some of the top players in the state at the skill positions recently competed at Highland High School at a camp hosted by “Utah Ballers.”
Utah Ballers is an organization that provides opportunities for young gridiron standouts to compete.
They host various camps, from skills to the trenches, with a desire to “connect prospects with college programs through merit-based promotion, evaluated competition, and college-level training.”
The latest Utah Ballers camp focused on the skill positions and was called a “Blackout” camp.
Skill positions can sometimes be overlooked in the recruiting scene in the state, as much of the focus is centered on the linemen. However, these 15 skill players showed the depth of talent in the state extends beyond the trenches.
