Summer Science Day is returning on Saturday, July 11, 2026. The free science festival for all ages will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Eccles Health Sciences Education Building.
Attendees can participate in science demonstrations and tour active laboratories to see current scientific work in progress. The event provides an opportunity to learn directly from University of Utah researchers about how science works.
Food options will be available outside the building, with Jurassic Tacos and Marquesas Corndogs serving as the two featured food trucks.
Because space is limited for laboratory tours, a free ticketing system will be used to manage attendance. Tickets for these tours will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis beginning one hour before each scheduled tour.
The event is sponsored by University of Utah Health Research, Baxter Aerospace, ARUP Laboratories, and BioHive.
