Candidate filing for the 2023 municipal election is currently taking place in Kaysville. Those interested in running for one of the three available City Council seats, which carry four-year terms, must complete their filing by Wednesday, June 7, before 5:00 PM.
How to file and fees
To declare a candidacy, individuals must file in person at the City Recorder's Office located at 23 East Center Street, Kaysville. The office accepts filings between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. A non-refundable filing fee of $100 is required during this process.
Candidate eligibility requirements
Candidates for municipal office must meet several eligibility requirements. Applicants are required to be US citizens and registered voters of Kaysville City. Additionally, candidates must have been a resident of Kaysville City for at least 12 consecutive months before the election date.
