Tremonton City Public Works recently shared updates concerning the seasonal availability of compost and scheduled road improvements for local infrastructure.
Current compost availability status
While the spring and early summer compost season was considered a success, compost is no longer available for purchase at this time.
Resumption of composting operations
According to Tremonton City, composting operations are expected to resume around September 1 for fall landscaping and gardening needs. The process uses recycled wastewater treatment plant solids mixed with community green waste.
Free remaining compost supplies
Any remaining compost currently held at the Public Works facility will remain available free of charge while supplies last. Once current stocks are depleted, no more will be available until the fall production begins.
Upcoming road paving schedule
Regarding infrastructure, contractors have scheduled paving work for the Tremont Street and 100 West project area on Thursday, June 25. This work is part of an ongoing waterline replacement project.
Traffic delays and driver precautions
Motorists should anticipate temporary traffic stops and minor delays throughout the day as crews pave trench crossings. Officials encourage drivers to use caution around work zones and allow for extra travel time.
Future cemetery road paving
Additional paving work is planned for cemetery roads next week, though the exact schedule is still being finalized and will be shared once confirmed.
Tremonton City stated that these projects are part of an ongoing investment in infrastructure to ensure safer roadways and reliable services for the growing community.
