Daggett County officials announced Thursday that the June 23, 2/026, RDA and MBA commission meetings have been canceled due to elections, with regular sessions scheduled to resume on June 30.

The cancellation of the commission meetings was confirmed in a news flash from Daggett County. Separately, the county has scheduled a Board of Adjustments public meeting for 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24, at the Commission Chambers in Manila. The meeting will allow residents to learn facts regarding an RV dump appeal and voice their views.
Alpine asphalt maintenance project
In Alpine, the city announced a significant asphalt maintenance project scheduled to run from Monday, June 22, through Tuesday, June 30. The project will involve closing various surfaces to all traffic starting at 7 a.m., including sections of Alpine Boulevard, Eastview Drive, and Soldier Circle.
Road closure and parking warnings
The Alpine maintenance project requires motorists to avoid driving or walking on the treated surfaces during the closure to allow for proper curing. The city warned that vehicles parked in the maintenance area after 7 a.m. will be towed at the owner's expense, and residents could be held liable for repair costs ranging from $500 to $3,000 if they damage the surface.
Flaming Gorge lake level updates
Local officials in Daggett County noted that while recent emergency water releases have lowered the Flaming Gorge lake level by five to six feet, marinas are working to reconfigure docks. Commissioner Lytle expressed hope that a strong winter season would prevent long-term impacts on the reservoir.
