Heavy rains caused some flooding in and around the town of New Harmony in northern Washington County on Thursday afternoon, prompting the temporary closure of the road that connects the town with Interstate 15’s Exit 42. “We had a major rain event in a short period of time, which led to flooding through much of the area,” New Harmony Fire Chief Jim Banks told St. George News.
